BTTN appreciates the achievements of the young handball players from the city of Kalisz and has decided to sponsor the UKS Nike Kalisz team’s outfits.

UKS Nike Kalisz’s young handball players have advanced to the final stage of the Wielkopolska Championships, in the Boys category. It is an unprecedented event, as it is the first that the Kalisz handball team has ever reached the final stage of the provincial-level tournament. “We spent three years working for this achievement,” says Mateusz Różański, the coach for the team.

Young players have been practising handball as part of the Nike Student Sport Club for many years, but it is the club’s achievements were until recently seen experienced only by the sub-junior and young junior players. Today, the club’s boys team is growing in strength and recording good results.

At the preliminaries stage, which included four tournaments, the Kalisz handball players were better than UKS 46 I Poznań, SSRiR Start Konin and KS Polonia Środa Wlkp., which helped them advance to the semifinal of the Wielkopolska Championships. The tournament at this level took place in Wągrowiec on Friday. There, the players coached by Mr Różański defeated the local Nielba team as well as the UKS Spartanie Jerka players, which paved the way for them to the final stage.
